Legal fast track: free advice in one call

When the parties cannot agree and the matter has to go to court, a lawyer who examines the evidence thoroughly from the start helps you see the strengths and weaknesses of your case at every stage. B Law Firm handles both civil and criminal cases, and takes proceedings on to the higher courts.

How we can help

  • Civil cases: claims for damages, breach of contract, land disputes and divorce proceedings.
  • Criminal cases: filing a criminal complaint, acting for you as the plaintiff when you bring the case yourself, or defending you as the accused.
  • Appeals to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court: taking the proceedings on to the higher courts.
  • Examining the evidence to find the strengths and weaknesses of the case, and telling you plainly about its prospects and limits.

When to talk to a lawyer

  • You have received a summons, a court order or a statement of claim.
  • You have been accused of an offence or are being prosecuted, or you want to file a criminal complaint.
  • Negotiations have failed and you are thinking of going to court.
  • A judgment has been given and you have to decide whether to appeal, which must be done within a legal time limit.

What to prepare before you talk to us

Have these ready for the lawyer when you talk. In the online form a short summary is enough; please do not send important documents or confidential details yet.

  • Every summons or document from the court, the police or the inquiry officer, with the date you received it.
  • The evidence you have, such as contracts, receipts, photos, video clips and chat messages.
  • The names and contact details of witnesses and other people involved.
  • A timeline of events, and the loss you have suffered with figures that can be checked.

Worth knowing: summonses, judgments and appeals all come with time limits, and missing one can cost you certain rights, so do not wait until the hearing is close before you talk to a lawyer.

What happens when you contact us

  1. Send us your matter through the online consultation form, LINE or email, telling us only what we need for a first assessment.
  2. A lawyer calls you back to ask about the facts and the documents, and tells you plainly about the prospects and the limits of your matter.
  3. We agree the scope of work and the fees before any work starts. Our fees match the actual scope of work, are transparent and carry no hidden charges.
  4. We act for you once we have confirmed in writing that we are taking on your matter. Sending the form alone does not make us your lawyers.

If your matter has a legal deadline, such as a court date, a limitation period or a filing deadline, please call the firm directly as soon as possible rather than waiting for a reply to a form or an email.

This page gives general information, not legal advice on any particular matter. Every matter turns on its own facts, so please talk to a lawyer before you decide.
